Inauguration of the Blog

It’s been quite a while since I first thought about starting this blog, but I’m excited to finally get things moving today as we welcome 2026.

I felt ready to launch because I now have a great team behind me. Dr. Qi Jun Kwong, a brilliant young researcher I trust deeply, started as an Associate Professor at Hokkaido University in Spring 2025 and joined RCLIP as an Affiliated Research Fellow that fall.

Through this blog, I hope to explore IP-related topics in Japan and the rest of Asia. Thanks for joining us! To kick things off, here is a message and a report from Professor Kwong.
